How to: Create a fabulous Simple Syrup right at home
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
This recipe is a 50/50 ratio. Just mix your selected ingredient (fruit, herb, veggie, etc.) with equal parts water and sugar. Dissolve sugar into water and add rosemary. Allow the mixture to just barely simmer for about 30 minutes. Remove added ingredient, then strain mixture through cheesecloth and pour into glass jars. Allow to cool.

Have you heard of a simple syrup? Well it’s a well known title behind the bar. If you ever had a mojito, then you have tasted the sweetness blend coming from what we call a “simple syrup” mixture. Basically, you mix water, sugar, and your favorite ingredient(s) to be combined in a respectable glass jar.
Simple syrups are conveniently overlooked. Some people think it’s harder to make than it actually is. We featured the rosemary simple syrup, but you can use anything in your refrigerator and/or kitchen cabinets.
